The 1&Dwitiya Technologies Private Limited and its Board of Directors (hereinafter referred to as "RentenPe" or "us" or "we" or "our") are committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of the Personal Information (defined below) collected and processed by us of our users (defined below).

Information (defined below). This Privacy Policy sets out the way in which we collect, use, disclose, transfer and store your Personal Information.
This Privacy Policy sets out the types of Personal Information we collect from you through our
website, mobile application, and any other platform owned and operated by us (collectively
referred to as the "RentenPe Platform"), as well as the way in which we collect, use, disclose, transfer to third parties, and store and protect your Personal Information. This Privacy Policy also
identifies the rights and options available to you with respect to your Personal Information and
the manner in which you may reach out to us should you have any concerns or queries regarding
this Privacy Policy.
We are committed to protecting your Personal Information (defined below) through Reasonable
Security Practices and Procedures (defined below) in accordance with Applicable Law (defined
below). Should you choose to not provide us with the requested Personal Information, we will be
unable to offer you our Services (defined below).
You are advised to carefully read the Privacy Policy before using this or any other platform, application or channel for communicating with us or sharing information or Data (defined below)
(including any Personal Information) with us or our Representatives (defined below), or prior to
using the Services. We shall not be liable / responsible for any breach of privacy owing to the
user's negligence. Please note that the RentenPe Platform may contain links to third party
applications / digital platforms which are provided for your convenience. We are only responsible
for the privacy practices and security of the RentenPe Platform. We recommend that you check
the privacy and security policies and procedures of each and every other application / digital
platform that you visit.
All capitalised terms not defined in this document shall have the meanings ascribed to them in the
Terms and Conditions of the RentenPe Platform, which can be accessed here.
(a) "Applicable Law" means all provisions of laws, statutes, ordinances, rules, regulations, permits, certificates, judgments, decisions, decrees or orders of any governmental authority applicable to a Person and includes the Information Technology Act 2000; Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules 2011; and Credit Information Companies Act 2005 ("CIC Act") read with the Credit Information Companies Rules 2006; each as amended from time to time.
(b) "Body Corporate" means any company and includes a firm, sole proprietorship or other association of individuals engaged in commercial or professional activities.
(c) "Cookies" means a small file placed on your device by our website or mobile application when you either visit or use certain features of the RentenPe Platform, which allows a website or application to remember your actions or preference for a certain period of time.
(d) "Data" means and includes a representation of information, knowledge, facts, concepts or instructions which are being prepared or have been prepared in a formalised manner, and is intended to be processed, is being processed or has been processed in a computer system or computer network, and may be in any form (including computer printouts, magnetic or optical storage media, punched cards, punched tapes) or stored internally in the memory of the computer; and with respect to credit institutions or a credit information company, means such facts which are collected by or furnished to them, in respect of a client, and forms part of the credit information relating to such client, which is maintained, disseminated and used by them in accordance with the provisions of the CIC Act.
(e) "Free Rent Amount" or "FRA" has the same meaning as provided in the Terms and Conditions of the RentenPe platform.
(f) "KYC" means Know Your Customer.
(g) "Third Party Partners" means select third parties with whom we may have contracts for the businesses and facilitating the Services described in this Privacy Policy.
(h) "Person" means any natural person, company, corporation, partnership, proprietorship, trust, union, association, government or any agency thereof or any other entity that may be treated as a person under Applicable Law.
(i) "Personal Information" means any information that relates to a natural person which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available with a Body Corporate, is capable of identifying such person, as further described in Paragraph 4 below.
(j) "RentenPe Platform" has the same meaning as provided in the Terms and Conditions of the RentenPe Platform.
(k) "RBI" means the Reserve Bank of India.
(l) "Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures" means security practices and procedures designed to protect such information from unauthorised access, damage, use, modification, disclosure or impairment, as may be specified in an agreement between RentenPe and the users of Third Party Partners or as may be specified in any law for the time being in force and in the absence of such agreement or any law, such reasonable security practices and procedures, as may be prescribed by the Central Government in consultation with such professional bodies or associations as it may deem fit.
(m) "Representatives" means the personnel employed or otherwise engaged by RentenPe for the purpose of its business.
(n) "Services" has the same meaning as provided in the Terms and Conditions of the RentenPe Platform.
(o) "You" or "user" means any natural or legal person who accesses or uses the RentenPe Platform and in the event that a natural person is representing a business entity or a body corporate, reference to such terms shall include a reference to such business entity and / or body corporate as well and other promoters of such business entity and / or body corporate. All references to you shall include yourself and any other persons you are authorised to and required to provide consent for.
4.1. We collect, transmit, and store Personal Information about you only after providing you with prominent disclosures through the Platform which includes the specific purpose of handling your Personal Information and obtaining your explicit consent, to provide you with, or in connection with, our Services. Please note that we only collect and process Personal Information in a need-based manner to provide you with the Services. Such Personal Information includes:
(a) Identity and profile-related information: This includes information such as your first and last name, username or similar identifiers including your unique Residence Card number, gender, title, photos, educational qualifications, location (fine and coarse GPS data), employment and rental / property details. This information helps us in the providing you the Services such as creation of your Residence Card, undertaking KYC and background verification, assessing your eligibility for FRA, and customised support in the event of any issues arising from your use of the RentenPe Platform.
(b) Location information: This includes your background geolocation data, which is collected in the following ways: (i) from your mobile device when enabled by you to do so; and (ii) where any location specific details are voluntarily provided by you.
(c) Contact information: This includes your email addresses, phone numbers, and residential address. With your consent, we may also gather and store information about individuals in your contact list with whom you would like to share certain transactions.
(d) KYC information: This includes government-issued officially valid documents such as PAN card, voter ID, ration card, voter identification card, Aadhaar card, driver's license etc. and any other document prescribed under the Applicable Law from time to time. This Data is only collected if you opt for certain specified Services through our Platform. These accesses are for the purpose of on-boarding / KYC requirements and evaluating your eligibility for certain specified Services through our Platform.
(e) Aadhaar information: We may also collect your Aadhaar number for verifying, authenticating and / or updating your Aadhaar number in accordance with the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016. Collection of your Aadhaar details is not a mandatory requirement for availing our Services unless required under any Applicable Law. We ensure that your Aadhaar number is stored in a manner specific under Applicable Law and shall be disclosed only with your consent, and in a manner specified under Applicable Law.
(f) Transaction information: This comprises details of transactions that occur through the RentenPe Platform or are related to the Services which you avail. For instance, it may include Services which you have requested or confirmed through the RentenPe Platform.
(g) Credit information: With your express consent, we collect information from credit information companies and Central Registry of Securitisation Asset Reconstruction and Security Interest of India ("CERSAI") to help us with customer due diligence.
(h) Data from SMSs: With your consent, we collect, transmit, and store SMS data from your phone to assess your financial situation, analyse cash flow, credits, income, and spending patterns.
(i) Financial data: This encompasses your credit history, income information, loan application and payment details, bank account information, income tax returns information, salaries, bank statements, etc. This data is collected for the purpose of establishing your creditworthiness.
(j) Marketing and communications data: This includes your preferences regarding marketing messages from us and third parties, as well as your communication preferences. We may use Third Party Partners or other third parties to serve advertisements when you visit our Platform. These companies may use information about your usage preferences and about your visits to the RentenPe Platform and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. In the event you chose to interact with these advertisements and are redirected to their websites, you will be complying with their respective terms and conditions. RentenPe will not be responsible for product and services of such websites and their privacy practices, as RentenPe does not own, manage or control such websites.
(k) Device data: This involves IP addresses, browser types, time zone settings, operating systems, and device information. We securely collect, transmit, and store this data on our server. We do not access your mobile phone resources such as call logs, telephony functions, and files & media except for the purpose of on boarding you as our customer and / or for KYC requirements. We do not collect your biometric data. However, after providing you with prominent disclosure on the Platform and obtaining your explicit consent, we may collect your Personal Information by accessing your camera, microphone, location (fine and coarse GPS data), or any other facility solely for the purpose of onboarding, KYC checks, or background verification, which you would be required to specifically provide consent for.
(l) Usage data: This consists of information about how you engage with and use our Platform. We collect information about your device to provide automatic updates and additional security so that your R-Card is not used in other people's devices. In addition, the information provides us valuable feedback on your identity as a device holder as well as your device behaviour, thereby allowing us to improve our products interaction, quality of services and provide a personalised user experience to you.
(m) App data: We collect, transmit, and store information about installed applications. Specifically, we use the package name of each installed application to assess and provide personalised offers for various financial services like loans, insurance, etc. This data also aids in research and marketing efforts.
4.2. We may supplement the information that you provide, with other information that we obtain from our dealings with you or which we receive from other organisations such as our Third Party Partners.
4.3. You are requested to provide RentenPe with accurate and complete Personal Information in order to avail the Services. We request that any change to your Personal Information be communicated to us, for us to service you better.
(a) RentenPe only collects Data from users in accordance with the explicit consents obtained from such users and after informing them about the consequences of refusing to provide Personal Information or withdrawing consent for the identified purposes.
(b) RentenPe maintains an auditable record of such consents granted, modified or withdrawn.
(c) This Privacy Policy also covers the terms of the consents granted by you to RentenPe for the Personal Information submitted by you.
(d) All information provided by you (including Personal Information) is purely voluntary.
(e) You may also withdraw or modify your consent to collect / provide / share / process the information (including your Personal Information) by communicating to the email ID given below in writing. However, in such instance, (i) you may not be able to access some or all of the features or pages of the RentenPe Platform; (ii) you may not be able to avail some or all of our Services; or (iii) if you have already availed our Services, such Services may be withdrawn, curtailed or cancelled as per the terms thereof upon such withdrawal or modification of consent.
(f) In some cases, it is essential for the information (including your Personal Information) to be collected / retained / stored / processed / shared either to comply with regulatory requirements, or as a matter of policy, or for any of the aforementioned purposes and you are requested not to avail the Services if you do not wish to provide such information or provide consent to collect / share / process the same. For any queries in this regard, you may contact the us through the email IDs mentioned later in this document.
(g) RentenPe ensures that an appropriate data privacy commitment is provided to the users and their express consent for seeking, collecting, storing, utilising and sharing their Personal Information is obtained at the time of or before collecting their Personal Information including any sensitive Personal Information either by the terms of this Privacy Policy or otherwise.
(h) RentenPe would collect your Data for competitions or marketing surveys or from publicly available sources in accordance with Applicable Law.
(i) Any information collected is stored in secure databases protected via a variety of access controls and is treated as confidential information by RentenPe. You should be careful with usage of your username and password by maintaining confidentiality and ensure that you do not knowingly or accidentally share, provide and facilitate unauthorised use of it.
(j) We may also obtain your Data from independent third parties, as governed by their respective privacy policies, including our Third Party Partners such as payment partners, technology providers, e-commerce platforms, payment aggregators, payments systems, payment service providers and financial institutions, fraud prevention agencies, independent service providers, etc.
(a) When you download our mobile application(s), sign up with us through R-Card, register to receive marketing communications from us, fill in one of our forms, contact us or otherwise expressly provide us with your Personal Information, we may collect and store any Personal Information that you provide to us and may use it to personalise and improve your experience on our digital platforms, provide Services you request from us, and carry out profiling and market research.
(b) We may also collect your Personal Information through your conversations (telephonic or otherwise) with the Representatives or any of RentenPe's customer service agents and / or any other mode of communication or submitted by you vide documents, images or in any other form. You agree that any such communication whether written or oral may be recorded to comply with RentenPe's internal processes or any Applicable Law.
(c) We use Cookies, cache pixels and similar technologies to receive and store certain types of Data of the user. This information helps us to make improvements to our content and helps us provide you a better navigation experience on our platforms. Our backend servers and / or Third Party Partners provide analytic services, inter alia collect IP addresses, operating system details, browsing details, device details and language settings. This Data is processed to inter alia estimate the number of visits, average time spent on the RentenPe Platform, and nature of pages viewed.
(d) When you refer a Service available on the RentenPe Platform to a contact, you and your contact's names and email IDs are collected. Your email ID and your contact's email ID will only be used for this purpose unless permission is otherwise granted.
(e) When you access third-party websites or app with whom we have contractual agreements, the applicable website operators' privacy policies would apply and is not covered by our Privacy policies. In such an event, we may also receive such Personal Information used by the relevant third-party websites to identify your account with such website.
(f) We may collect your credit information by obtaining specific authorisations from you (if required under Applicable Law), from certain third parties such as credit information companies as your 'authorised representative' from time to time in accordance with Applicable Law.
(g) In order to facilitate the Services to you, we or Third Party Partner's engaged by us, may receive certain information pertaining to document verification, payment status, etc. from certain third parties including National Securities Depository Limited ("NSDL") and payment gateway providers.
(h) The Personal Information collected from you is stored at our backend servers and cloud servers situated in India.
(i) We shall only collect the above-mentioned information on a need basis strictly for the purpose of providing you with the Services.
In broad terms, we use your Personal Information for the following purposes:
(a) Establishing and verifying your identity for KYC purposes including but not limited to our
Third Party Partners.
(b) Administer and provide Services you request or have expressed an interest in through us or
our Third Party Partners.
(c) Communicate with you in the event that any Services you have requested are unavailable.
(d) Internal risk assessments and analysis.
(e) To carry out creditworthiness checks.
(f) For fraud / Anti Money Laundering (AML) / name screening and prevention purposes and to
protect RentenPe's legal rights and compliance with RentenPe's legal obligations.
(g) For record keeping purposes, to comply with laws and regulations as may become
applicable from time to time, and to comply with other legal processes and law
enforcement requirements.
(h) The contact details (i.e., the phone number) of the third-party individuals (including your
relatives and friends) that are voluntarily added by you at the time of submitting a valid
rental agreement for verification through the RentenPe Platform may be used for the
purpose of establishing contact in the event that we are unable to contact you, including at
the time of reminder of due rental payments.
(i) To carry out market research so that we can improve the Services we offer.
(j) To track your activities and engagement on the RentenPe Platform.
(k) To create an individual profile for you so that we can understand and respect your
preferences.
(l) To personalise and improve your experience on our digital platforms and allow you to
utilise the RentenPe Platform's features by granting RentenPe access to information from
your device.
(m) To personalise and / or tailor any communications that we may send you.
(n) To enable us to personalise and / or tailor any marketing communications that you may
consent to receive from us.
(o) To inform you about important details in relation to the RentenPe Platform, change in
Terms and Conditions, and policies and / or other administrative information important to
meet your interests.
(p) To address your requests, feedback and queries and manage your relationship with
RentenPe.
(q) To assess your eligibility for our Services and provide you with such Services which you may
have shown interest in or requested for.
(r) To perform activities such as data analysis, audits, usage trends to determine the
effectiveness of RentenPe's campaigns and as input into improving Services.
(s) For security, business continuity and risk management.
(t) For system or product development and planning, audit and administrative purposes.
(u) To carry out our obligations arising from any contract entered into between you and us.
(v) To inform you about loyalty programs or other offers owned and operated by us.
(w) To ensure continued relationship with users, Third Party Partners, or suppliers.
(x) Recover any payments you owe to RentenPe, Third Party Partners or Landlords.
(y) To use / modify / display, distribute and create new material from the information you
provide.
(z) To help investigate violations of our Terms or to defend RentenPe against legal claims.
(aa) To disclose the information under special circumstances such as compliance with the
applicable local law, court summons, court orders, requests / order from legal authorities or
law enforcement agencies requiring such disclosure.
(bb) To meet the legitimate interests to be pursued by RentenPe or by a third party.
(a) RentenPe may share your information (including the Personal Information) with third parties including but not limited to Third Party Partners, vendors, service providers, data processors, banks, financial institutions, credit bureaus, account aggregators, Central KYC Registry, investigating authorities, law enforcement agencies, telecommunication companies, and statutory bodies for customer verification, personalisation of Services, credit rating, data enrichment, marketing or promotion of the Services of RentenPe, its Third Party Partners or of any other service provider.
(b) RentenPe may share such information in the course of normal business operations, such as providing Services you have subscribed to, and any activity related to these Services such as collection of fees, enrolling you for additional services and benefits, and for processing such information for credit analysis.
(c) It may become necessary for RentenPe to disclose your Personal Information to its agents and contractors in the course of normal business operations for the above referred purpose. However, these parties would be required to use the information obtained from RentenPe for such purposes exclusively.
(d) The third parties with whom your Personal Information is shared shall be required to only process such Personal Information in accordance with express instructions and as necessary to perform Services for purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy. Such third parties shall also be required to safeguard the security and confidentiality of the Personal Information they access and process by implementing appropriate technical and organisational security measures and confidentiality obligations.
(e) RentenPe shall undertake all Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures prescribed under Applicable Law to ensure that the confidentiality of your information (including your Personal Information) is maintained by third parties to whom it discloses such information .
(f) RentenPe may be required to disclose your Personal Information to statutory authorities or other persons in connection with any legal process that may be initiated by such authorities in accordance with Applicable Law, or for any risk mitigations purposes undertaken by us. However, this does not include selling or otherwise disclosing your Personal Information for commercial purposes in violation of this Privacy Policy and Applicable Law.
(g) It should be noted that our Third Party Partners may have privacy practices and policies that differ from those of RentenPe. The use of your Personal Information will be governed by their respective privacy statements when you provide your Data and other information on their websites and / or applications.
(h) We shall disclose your KYC data to the relevant regulatory authorities as a part of our statutory audit process. Your Aadhaar number shall not be disclosed to any third party without your consent unless RentenPe determines, in its sole discretion, that the disclosure of such information is necessary for compliance with Applicable Law. In the event that your Aadhaar number has been collected in a manner specified above, it shall only be disclosed in a manner specified in Applicable Law.
(i) RentenPe may also invite visitors to the RentenPe Platform to participate in market research and surveys and other similar activities.
(j) RentenPe reserves the right to communicate your Personal Information to any third party for compliance with a court order, judgment or statutory mandate or statutory investigation.
(k) In the event we buy or acquire other businesses from third parties, or sell our business (or any verticals thereunder, by whatever name called) to a third party, or otherwise take actions to develop and grow our business, the Personal Information collected by us may be shared with third parties and / or statutory authorities in such instances.
(l) Some of our campaigns / programmes / promotional events may be co-branded, that is sponsored by both the third parties and us. If you sign up for the same, your Personal Information may also be collected by and be shared with those third parties. We recommend that you read their privacy policies to understand how such third parties may handle such Personal Information.
(m) If you choose to utilise the Services offered by us or our Third Party Partners, we may share your Personal Information with such Third Party Partners. Such Third Party Partners will be required to maintain the privacy of such Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy as well as per the Applicable Law.
(n) Your consent is sought by way of this Privacy Policy in order for us to share the Personal Information as described above. By accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy, you provide your consent to that effect.
(o) You acknowledge that the RentenPe Platform has duly collected the information with your consent, and you have the option to not provide such information, or deny consent for use of specific information or revoke the consent already given. However, any withdrawal of such Personal Information will not be permitted if any Service availed by you is active. Where consent has been withdrawn the RentenPe Platform does not guarantee or be liable for providing such Service.
(p) The list of the third parties collecting your information through third-party platforms can be accessed here.
(a) RentenPe shall not retain any Personal Information longer than permissible under Applicable Law.
(b) Your Personal Information may however be retained for a longer period where we need such information for legal, regulatory, accounting, processing or other legitimate purposes which may include but not be limited to filing / addressing complaints, responding to any queries raised by any of our regulators / customers / governmental bodies and defending any legal claims.
(c) To determine the appropriate retention period for Personal Information, RentenPe considers the amount, nature and sensitivity of the Personal Information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your Personal Information, the purposes for which it processes your Personal Information, and whether it can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
(d) The user must note that different data types and purposes necessitate varying retention periods and therefore the length of retention of their Personal Information (depending on the nature thereof) may vary significantly.
(e) In some circumstances, RentenPe may anonymise your Personal Information so that it can no longer be associated with you and use such information.
(f) Upon your written request sent at the email ID set out below, to the effect of requesting us to delete all your Personal Information, we will undertake all reasonable actions, legally mandated to us as per Applicable Law, to delete and no longer store your Personal Information with us. The user must however note that by previously consenting to the sharing of the Personal Information (including to third parties), the user has made itself aware that RentenPe may not be able to enforce such deletion request upon such varied third parties and is not responsible nor liable for the deletion of your Personal Information by such third parties.
(a) We require the third parties we engage with for the purposes of our business, by contract or otherwise, to only process your Personal Information shared with them in accordance with our instructions and as necessary to perform services on our behalf or in compliance with Applicable Law.
(b) We also require such third parties to safeguard the security and confidentiality of such Personal Information to which they receive access, by implementing sound, appropriate and adequate confidentiality, technical and organisational security measures. The user however must note that RentenPe cannot personally ensure compliance of these measures by the third parties, and therefore cannot be held liable for breach of such requirements at the level of such third parties to the extent permissible by Applicable Law.
(c) RentenPe uses procedural and technical safeguards to secure your Personal Information from unauthorised access and use, alteration and destruction.
(d) In addition, access to your Personal Information is limited to only those Representatives, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a need-to-know. They will only process your Personal Information on RentenPe's instructions and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
(e) RentenPe will protect your Personal Information against unauthorised use, dissemination or publication in the same manner in which RentenPe would protect its confidential information of like nature, all in compliance with Applicable Law.
(f) We shall use technical, organisational and industry appropriate measures (including measures to deal with any data breach) to safeguard your Personal Information. If you suspect any misuse or loss or unauthorised access to your Personal Information, please let us know immediately by contacting us by email on the IDs set out below.
(a) We provide you with reasonable access to view and review your Personal Information and request correction and deletion where appropriate. In order to protect your privacy, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to your Personal Information. When we process your Personal Information, we do so with your consent.
(b) You can choose not to receive marketing emails from us by clicking on the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
(c) You can make choices about our collection and use of your Personal Information including
by requesting to access, correct, complete or erase your Personal Information on our
website or mobile application. You also have the right to seek the following information:
• a summary of Personal Information which is being processed by us and the
processing activities undertaken by us with respect to such Personal Information;
• the identities of all other entities with whom the Personal Information has been
shared by us, along with a description of the Personal Information so shared; and
• any other information as prescribed under Applicable Law.
(d) When you are asked to provide Personal Information, you may choose to decline. You may also withdraw your consent previously provided at any point in time. However, declining to give consent or withdrawing consent may affect the Services. Withdrawal of consent with respect to any Personal Information shared within any Third Party Partners will be governed by their respective privacy policies.
(e) You may choose to opt out of collection or use of your Personal Information, including the use of Cookies, cache, pixels and similar technologies and the use of your Personal Information for marketing and / or other purposes.
(f) You may also request that your Personal Information is rectified, modified, edited, restricted and not shared or you may even object to its processing, or request its deletion or anonymisation. You may also let us know if you would like to port your Data or would like a copy of the Personal Information which we hold about you. In the event we are unable to service your requests of the above nature (owing to regulatory obligations, or otherwise), we will provide you with a reasoned response in such cases.
(g) You may also nominate, any other individual, who shall, in the event of your death or incapacity, exercise your rights in accordance with Applicable Law. This right may be exercised by contacting us at info@rentenpe.com.
(h) If you have any concerns or grievances, you may write to our grievance redressal officer, identified at the end of this Privacy Policy.
(i) You also have the right to file a complaint to the relevant regulatory authorities in connection with the protection of your Personal Information, details thereof will be made available post notification by the Government.
You represent to us that you are above the age of 18 and are in contracting capacity to access our platform and share your Personal Information with us.
We want you to be the first to know about new Services, and occasional offers from our Third Party Partners. We may share these offers with you only with your prior consent. You can unsubscribe from receiving these offers by emailing us. Please note, if you choose to not receive this information, we will be unable to keep you informed of new services, products, events or special offers that may interest you.
(a) RentenPe makes no representation that the RentenPe Platform is appropriate to be used or accessed outside India. This document is published in accordance with the provisions of the Information Technology Act 2000 and the RentenPe is compliant with the laws of India.

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India and the courts of Mumbai shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to try any dispute arising thereof.
